The iPhone Dev Team has just released a near final version of Redsn0w 0.9.5 for both Windows and Mac. This beta release, like all the previous ones is meant for iPhone 3G and iPod touch 2G only, running iOS 4 (formerly iPhone OS 4). Apart from multitasking and wallpapers support on iOS 4.0 on iPhone 3G and iPod touch 2G, this version also brings support to enable battery percentage which otherwise is disabled by Apple.
Facebook version 3.1.3 app for iPhone and iPod touch is out! and it brings the long awaited feature of playing facebook videos, along with ability to view and write on the event walls, photo uploads of up to 720px wide, and tons of bug fixes. This confirmation comes from the developers of “Make Coffee” app for iPhone who found out when they tried the new version of the app (optimized for higher resolution screen of iPhone 4) on the iPad.
Mark Zuckerberg, the Founder and CEO of Facebook is not at all pleased by his brand new iPhone (not iPhone 4) which he only got last week. He posted about his frustrations with the device on his Facebook wall that within a week of getting the device, he has already got himself a bunch of chargers and a landline to move his Apple device from one place to other, and to actually make phone calls. Yes, he was clearly complaining about the battery life and phone calling quality.
At this year’s WWDC 10, Apple not only unveiled iPhone 4, but also released iOS 4 GM candidate (formerly iPhone OS 4) for developers registered on iPhone Developer Standard or Enterprise program. iOS 4 is fully supported on iPhone 3GS and iPod touch 3rd gen. iPhone 3G and iPod touch 2nd gen will be able to run this version of OS too but without multitasking and background wallpapers (unless you know where to look for it). Both the first-gen iPhone and iPod touch is not supported. An iPad version of iOS 4 is expected to be out by this fall.
Apple has seeded iTunes 9.2 beta, along with iOS 4 GM (pre-release) for iPhone 3GS, 3G and iPod touch via Apple Developer Connection. This release is strictly for testing purposes and is currently available for Mac OS X only.
