Paul Morris·August 3, 2012
It is always a nice and refreshing change to see new designers, developers and manufacturers putting their brains into gear in an attempt to invent and produce a product that doesn't conform to normality and isn't just a blatant copy of something that is already out in the marketplace. Thankfully, that is exactly what Ballantine has done by introducing the world their wearable and programmable t-shirt that comes with an engaging built-in display that takes pride of the place on the stylish garment.

Apple Experimented With A Curved Glass iPhone But Decided Against It Due To High Manufacturing Costs

Paul Morris·August 2, 2012
Although we don't believe that the current Apple versus Samsung trial is a good thing for the technology world, it certainly does make up for an interesting watch from the outside and allows us to get an insight into the inner workings and design strategies of both companies. Certain statements and depositions from those giving evidence in the case are providing us with what would otherwise be a pretty much impossible look into the early design decisions that centered around the development of the iPhone.

It seems like yesterday when the iPhone 4S was launched, and we already find ourselves in the first week of August fighting our way through the daily speculation about when Apple will finally announce and launch their sixth iteration of the insanely popular iPhone. For the better part of this year, it has been widely speculated that the new device will follow last year’s release schedule and make its way into our lives at some point in October, but recent speculation has been intensifying about a possible media event on September 12th which will introduce us to the new iPhone, an iPad Mini and a couple of new iPods. The jury is still out on that one.

If you are the type of person who can't live without a jailbroken device then chances are high that loading up and refreshing Cydia is one of the first things you do each day. The App Store gets so many apps uploaded every day that it can become almost impossible to track what's new and what's not. However, with Cydia receiving a minimal amount of uploads in comparison, and the Changes section showing recent additions based on date and time, it is relatively easy to track all of the tweaks, packages and enhancements that get submitted to the repositories.

Oliver Haslam·August 1, 2012
It may come as a surprise given the handset's rip-roaring success, but Apple's iPhone very nearly didn't make it out of the company's development labs, according to a man who would know; Apple Senior VP of Design, Jony Ive.

BrowseInApp For iOS Allows You To Browse The Web In Any App Instead Of Mobile Safari

Paul Morris·July 31, 2012
I can imagine anyone who owns an iOS device has found themselves muttering the odd crossword under their breath whenever they click a link or an image in an app only for it to completely kick you out of the running app and decide to take itself off to a new page within Mobile Safari. I can understand why this issue occurs and unfortunately for the most part, it is a necessary evil if the user wants to visit or view information that hasn't been handled by the app developer.

Facebook Adds Save For Later Functionality To Its iOS App

Paul Morris·July 31, 2012
The future of the Facebook app available for download through the iOS App Store is something of a very much discussed topic at the minute. The social network behemoth took the decision to build their mobile apps using HTML5 to allow the projects to be easily supported across multiple platforms with the thinking obviously being that it doesn't need to be manually coded in each native language for release on multiple platforms. Unfortunately, it has been users who have suffered at the hands of that decision with the experience being frustratingly slow.

The iPad Mini has been a long speculated product but with no real concrete details being known, it has just been put down to conjecture until this morning when a possible release date emerged.
