For those of you who couldn't make it to the event, and want to relive the unveiling of iPhone 4 as was seen by WWDC 10 attendees present that day in Moscone Center. Apple has uploaded the entire keynote address on both their official website, and on their YouTube channel so that you don't miss some of the most important announcements by Apple in recent times.
Folks over at iLounge have posted complete video walkthrough of the new iPhone 4 running iOS 4. This has to be the most complete video that I have seen which covers everything from multitasking, iBooks, iMovie, FaceTime video calling to creating folders and more. The only downside is the lack of any audio, which is missing for the most part in the video. So make sure you turn on some music while watching the video.
The GM (Gold Master) release of iOS 4 for iPhone 3GS, 3G and iPod touch 3G, 2G has made its way on the popular file sharing and torrent sites. Unlike all the previous Betas, this release actually doesn't require registered UDID, and you can restore it on a Windows machine too but it will be pointless as for activation, you will still need iTunes 9.2 Beta which is currently only available for registered developers on Macs.
Apple has seeded iTunes 9.2 beta, along with iOS 4 GM (pre-release) for iPhone 3GS, 3G and iPod touch via Apple Developer Connection. This release is strictly for testing purposes and is currently available for Mac OS X only.
Remember that scoop on American Beauty director Sam Mendes directing commercial for Apple iPhone 4? Well that rumor was true after all. Apple today at WWDC 10 showed off the new iPhone 4 with iOS 4 commercial which features video calling via iChat, along with 3.5’’ OLED screen, 960x640 pixel screen resolution, 5 megapixel camera with Xenon flash and lots more.
Steve Jobs, CEO of Apple Inc. in his keynote address at WWDC 10 (World Wide Developers Conference) has announced the much awaited iPhone 4. After a long presentation about the number of apps downloaded from iTunes, number of iPads sold, some new enhancements to iPad, and the new development tools and corporate features that the phone’s updated operating system, "iPhone 4.0," will support, Jobs finally got to the details about the next-generation phone that has been leaked with tons of rumors for months.
The million dollar question, how long before the new iPhone 4 is going to be jailbroken and unlocked? Well we already know that the iPhone Dev Team has already announced that they are going to release an unlock which will work on the 05.12.01 baseband on all iPhones, provided they haven't upgraded to the latest 05.13 baseband. But since the new iPhone 4 will have the latest baseband, it will be a while before it gets fully jailbroken and unlocked. Another infamous iPhone hacker by the name of Geohot is also said to have a new bootrom exploit, which he has preserved for this new iPhone.
Apples CEO Steve Jobs is all set to kick off his WWDC 10 keynote address in about an hour from now at San Francisco’s Moscone Center. The conference will mainly focus on iPhone development, iPhone OS 4, and the unveiling of the 4th-gen iPhone. Final version of OS X 10.6.4, Cloud based iTunes.com, Mac Mini, MacBook Air, Mac Pro refresh, iPad OS 3.3 / 3.2.1, Safari 5 and free version of MobileMe are some of the other things that we expect Apple to announce at the event.
WWDC 10 is only about 12 hours away now where Apple will unveil the next iPhone and what we have now is even more pictures leaked from Korea, showing the back panel, and other parts of the white model (video here) of the next-gen iPhone. The back panel case is similar to all the previous leaks that we have seen so far. Maybe someone in China, Vietnam or Korean region have got loads of these parts and they are selling it off to make loads of money right before the official announcement by Jobs.
WWDC 10 is going to be a huge event for both developers and consumers. Apple has got some cool new things to announce such as the new iPhone 4 / HD. But what are the other things which we should expect from Steve Jobs’ WWDC 10 keynote? Let’s take a look at them.
