Sony PS5 Retail Prices Leaked Ahead Of Release

Sony has been sharing information about the PS5 in bits and pieces and we only recently got to see what it will look like. Some of the things we don’t yet know are perhaps the most important, though – price, availability, and when we can place a pre-order.

One French retailer might have outed the price for both the Digital Edition and standard PS5, though.

According to a page on Carrefour, one of France’s biggest online retailers, the PS5 Digital Edition will retail for €399 while anyone wanting a disc drive will pay €499.

That pricing does tend to fit with prices that we’ve been expecting, and they also seem to fit what the PS4 sold for at launch, too. Based on that, we could likely expect prices starting at $399 in the United States and $399 in the UK, although it’s possible Brits will pay a little less. You never do know.

As for accessories, the French retailer has everything listed at just shy of $50 each, suggesting these prices might just be placeholders rather than anything based on fact. Hopefully, that doesn’t extend to the actual console pricing, too.

Sony has said that we will get the PS5 this holiday season, although that doesn’t really tell us much. Either way, we’re fairly confident that it’s time to start saving right now if you haven’t already.
