If you’re an AirPods Pro owner who took out AppleCare+, you might be able to get yourself some free earbud tips from Apple. Normally, they’d sell for $4 if you want to get them replaced, but some people have reported Apple giving them out free to anyone with AppleCare+.

AppleCare+ costs $29 and is an insurance against out-of-warranty repairs and damage. And according to multiple reports on the MacRumors forums, Apple seems to be using it to replenish AirPods Pro tips, too.

I’m not sure if it’s an ‌AppleCare‌+ thing or not but I set up the replacement online and there was no fee. I was under the impression that there will be a cost even with ‌AppleCare‌+.

Anyone who doesn’t have AppleCare+ but needs to get hold of new AirPods Pro tips needs to pay the normal $3.95 fee, but AppleCare+ seems to be covering the cost, at least for some.

Apple doesn’t seem to be advertising the fact that you can get free AirPods Pro tips, presumably to try and avoid everyone taking advantage of the policy.

Anyone looking for new tips, whether with AppleCare+ or not, can pick some up by visiting their local Apple Store. You can even order them online if you don’t have an Apple Store nearby.
