Samsung Announces New Galaxy Z Flip4 And Galaxy Z Fold4 Folding Phones

Samsung has today announced not one, but two new folding phones with the Galaxy Z Flip and Galaxy Z Fold both getting new iterations.

The new Galazy Z Flip comes with a 120Hz 6.7-inch display with a 1.9-inch display available on the outside for the folded device to offer things like the time for easy reading.

Compared to the model that came before it, not an awful lot has changed in terms of the look beyond a new hinge that is thinner, making for a sleeker experience. The device comes with two 12-megapixel cameras around the back as well as a single 10-megapixel selfie camera on the front.

The larger Galaxy Z Fold features a folding 120Hz 7.6-inch display on the inside and a 6.2-inch display on the outside. The cameras have had an upgrade, with a 50-megapixel main camera joined by a 12-megapixel ultrawide and 30x 10-megapixel telephoto offering. Another 10-megapixel camera handles selfie images.

The Fold will also be the first device to ship with Google’s Android L installed, a fork of Android that is designed especially for devices with larger displays.

Both new phones come with 5G and Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 chips inside. Those buying the Galaxy Z Flip will pay prices upwards of $1,000 while those buying the largest foldable can start saving now with prices starting at $1800. Both products are available for pre-order today and anyone doing so will get a free doubling of their storage space, too.

Samsung also announced the Galaxy Watch 5 and 5 Pro smartwatches which are priced starting at $280 and $450, while a pair of new Galaxy 2 Buds will set buyers back $230 with ANC and high-fidelity audio supported.
