Comedian Bill Maher on Saturday night made a vey bold statement saying that Steve Jobs should run for the Oval Office as he would do a better job than the current Obama Administration. Maher was clearly disappointed by President’s recent remarks in which he stated that iPads, iPods, Xboxes and PlayStations were a source of distraction, rather than a tool of democracy for the United States.
We have already seen iPads recently getting fixed into different car dashboards. But now, iPad will be moving not only on roads with you, but also into skies with Bluebox Avionics’ new Ai IFE system.
After all those iPhone 4G leaks from Gizmodo, Vietnamese site Taoviet and the French site BeGeek. A new next-gen Apple iPhone prototype has surfaced again in Vietnam, which shows the phone running some sort of firmware diagnostics software called “Inferno”, similar to what was seen earlier running on iPod touch 3G prototypes.
All the Apple iDevices (iPhone, iPad and iPod touch) are designed to be used with fingers. But occasionally, there are times when you wish you had a stylus to operate these devices. This is especially useful for iPad which really fails as a note-taking/drawing Tablet. Due to the capacitive nature of the screen, the traditional styluses don't work with these devices. This Mi-Stylus “has a special impregnated tip that replicates the physics of the human finger”.
The same person who ported Android to the iPhone 2G and iPhone 3G is now working on bringing Android OS to an iPod touch (minus calling feature). We were anticipating this one for a while, and hopefully the port will see the light of day soon!
The BTstack Mouse app for iPhone that we demonstrated on iPad last week has been updated to bring support for iPad. This new version brings stability, bug fixes and performance improvements for the new Apple device. The only disappointment about the update is that it still runs in the native iPhone resolution. You can run it in full iPad resolution by using this hack posted here.
I really don't know what is going on in Vietnam but after getting hold of the 4th-gen Apple iPhone, the guys from Tinhte have now got their hands on an upcoming refreshed version of MacBook, which was first released in October last year. This MacBook identifies itself as MacBook7,1 which indicates that it is running a faster 2.4Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo from the 2.26Ghz seen in the current models, and NVDIA GeForce 320M with 256MB of DDR3. This graphics chip is an upgrade from the current GeForce 9400M found in MacBook6,1.
We just stumbled upon a video on YouTube by 1938digital in which “fake” Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer reviews the latest revolution of Apple in his very own trademark style. In his review, Ballmer explains why the iPad sucks, and how a new Microsoft Tablet with Windows 7, Windows Mobile, Azure, the Cloud and God knows what else is going to rule this market.
At the moment, all we know is that Android 2.2 Froyo will do Flash and HTML5 hassle free, and will be about 450% faster than Android 2.1. But now according to TechCrunch’s sources, Android 2.2 will also bring support for USB Tethering, and the ability to create your own personal Wi-Fi hotspot for sharing the internet on the go! The first one is something which Apple and AT&T are still struggling to cope up with in US for the iPhone users, while the later one cant be done, until and unless you are using a jailbroken iPhone.
