Unlike devices like the iPhone and iPad that require software updates to push new content to the product, Apple have the ability to update the Apple TV home screens remotely and add new web-based content at will. Several keen-eyed Apple TV owners have noticed the appearance of the new Apple Events icon that is themed in similar fashion to the event invites that were distributed last week for today's press event that we suspect will be dedicated to the purported iPad Mini as well as being heavily focused on education. More on the event here.
Google's NFC payment system has historically been an Android-only affair. In fact, not all Android devices can take advantage of the service thanks to the reliance on that NFC chip, as well as the requirement for smartphone carriers to sign off on the technology before it is implemented. Things may be changing though, with the news that a new version of Google Wallet is in the offing.

After the successful launch of the iPhone 5 last month, attention has quickly turned to the prospect of a scaled-down iPad following closely behind, and although the initial suppositions of the blogosphere were miscalculated - we expected the event to have been and gone by now - Apple finally gave its first indication that the elusive device is in existence by announcing tomorrow's special keynote.
It should be common knowledge by now that Apple's executive team will take to the stage in California tomorrow to introduce us to a number of new products, one of which is rumored to be the mini variant of the iPad. It is also being suggested that the event will have a strong focus on education and will feature a number of releases and announcements that are geared towards allowing Apple to get an additional foot in the doorway of the education sector.

Microsoft caused quite a stir last year when it announced the purchase of Skype for an eye-watering sum total of $8.5 billion. Some touted the sale price as grossly overvaluing of the company - one owned by eBay of course - but when one considers AOL paid 800 million bucks for Bebo, anything looks like a steal in comparison.
I’m quite certain HTC One X users might be able to recall the leaked Jelly Bean ROM which was doing it’s rounds around the internet quite some time ago. The HTC variant of the leak came during a time when we were seeing various versions of Jelly Bean being leaked for the Samsung Galaxy S III, but unfortunately, the fact that it was classified as being for developers only was enough to stop the majority from going down the route of flashing it to their own HTC devices.
