Famous hacker Geohot has released Root for Samsung Galaxy S4 Active. Fans of Apple's iPhone - and more specifically those involved in the jailbreak community - will know Geohot from his days involved in the cat and mouse game with Apple. Microsoft has been plotting a Web-based version of Xbox Music for a long time, and as expected, the company has finally delivered with a service that allows subscribers to dive straight in. It was set to be unveiled this week, but the site already appears good to go, and Xbox Music Pass subscribers can begin using it by heading over to music.xbox.com.

The Evad3rs team brought some respite late last year with the release of the Evasi0n jailbreak tool, and now a screenshot posted by seasoned developer Ryan Petrich suggests the road to a jailbreak on iOS 7 may not be so treacherous. No details were associated with his screen cap posted on Twitter yesterday of jailbroken iOS 7 beta, but even at this very early stage, things do look very promising indeed.
