Paul Morris·July 4, 2013
The British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) is known the world over as a public provider of broadcasting services, as well as a reputable source of twenty-four hour news through their television, web and mobile app channels. In more recent times we have seen the BBC expand their mobile offerings by pushing out a dedicated sports app to compliment their existing news app and it seems that they aren't quite finished with their app intentions just yet after officially releasing a dedicated weather application for iOS and Android devices, available to download now.

Galaxy Note 3 To Feature 3GB Of RAM, Sleeker And Slimmer Design [REPORT]

Ben Reid·July 4, 2013
Although the Galaxy S series is rightly considered Samsung's flagship smartphone range, the Galaxy Note 'phablet' has risen to prominence in the past couple of years, forging a new market of high-end devices with incredibly large displays. The Galaxy Note II was well-received when it first released towards the latter stages of 2012, and with the Galaxy S4 now well into its life cycle, focus on the third Note has been strong during the last month or two. The current word on the Web is that the device will be significantly thinner than its predecessor, with 3GB of RAM packed into both the reported 3G-only and 4G LTE variants.

This Music App For iPhone Takes A Lot Of Design Cues From iOS 7, Is Absolutely Free!

Ben Reid·July 3, 2013
iOS 7's design has been a polarizing topic in the tech industry over the past three weeks, but with iOS 7 beta 2 having dropped nine days ago to a much warmer reception, it would seem as though the tech world is growing used to some of the big changes Apple has made. The home screen icons have, along with several native apps, been completely redesigned as part of a 'flatter' approach, and the Music app has perhaps saw the biggest changes of them all. But if you're not in a position to try iOS 7 beta out for yourself just yet, you may wish to check out a third-party offering by the name of Musi, offers a flavor of the official iOS 7 Music app in terms of design cues.

Xbox One Release Date For Japanese Market Might Just Put Some Gamers Off

Ben Reid·July 3, 2013
The Xbox 360 may have enjoyed a slight victory over the PlayStation 3 in terms of market share, but when it comes to Japan, there is only one winner. What with Sony being a Japanese company and all, there's a very lopsided favoritism towards the next-gen PlayStation 4, which is perhaps why Microsoft doesn't seem too bothered about getting the Xbox One out to that particular market. According to Yasuyuki Higuchi, a Japanese VP of the Redmond-based outfit, the Xbox One won't be reaching Japan until 2014, with the nation having been dealt the rather unflattering label among the software maker's "tier two."

One of the latest tweaks to hit Cydia is the PatternUnlock offering by Jonas Gessner, and although it offers a core feature set that we have already seen on iOS with the likes of AndroidLock, it innovates by not only implementing it a lot better but by also adding additional pro features.

Facebook Stickers From iOS And Android Now Officially Available On The Web Version

Ben Reid·July 3, 2013
Facebook Messenger for iOS and Android have long since supported the use of Stickers, and as of today, those using the Web version of the integrated instant messaging system should have no problem accentuating their text with one of those annoying, yet also rather endearing little faces. Although Stickers aren't something everybody is going to use, they do offer a little bit of fun and harmless immaturity, and having been successfully trialed on the two major mobile operating systems, Zuck and his team has rolled the feature out across the board.

Ben Reid·July 3, 2013
Opera 15 has just been released for PC and Mac, featuring an all-new design and a myriad of new features, including the Discover catch-up menu and Speed Dial, which, as the name implies, allows you to quickly find all of your Internet amenities. There's also a brand-new download manager, and although Opera has been lacking in many departments in the past, the new WebKit-based effort appears to have stepped things up a notch or two.

Famous hacker Geohot has released Root for Samsung Galaxy S4 Active. Fans of Apple's iPhone - and more specifically those involved in the jailbreak community - will know Geohot from his days involved in the cat and mouse game with Apple. In more recent times he has also gained infamy thanks to his well-publicized legal wrangle with Sony after publishing information online on how to "jailbreak" the company's PS3 console.
