MovieBox App Now Available On iOS 8.2 Without Jailbreak
The market for legally-questionable movie-streaming apps continues to thrive, and today, it has emerged that you can install the famed MovieBox app on your iOS 8.2-running device. The real clincher in this case is that you don’t even need to jailbreak in order to get MovieBox up and running.
Apple, quite naturally, doesn’t allow apps like MovieBox, Popcorn Time or PlayBox to grace its App Store, for fairly obvious reasons. But the latter – PlayBox HD app – did manage to sneak in a short while ago, and having since been removed, the very similar MovieBox app can still be installed on your iPhone, iPad or iPod touch.
It’s a bit of a cat-and-mouse affair getting these apps up and running on iOS as Apple continues to update the software and block the methods, and while you may wish to go ahead and try MovieBox out for yourself, we wouldn’t recommend doing so. After all, while the prospect of a wide selection of films is great and all, these unofficial means of streaming and sourcing content can be fraught with issues, and while Apple’s App Store policy is seen as over-zealous by many, there tends to be a good reason why certain apps and games don’t pass through the digital gates.
With that being said, MovieBox, like so many others similar, offers a clean, easy-to-navigate user interface that makes it very easy for users to watch movies. It’s not too difficult to see why it has such a strong following, and whether Apple permits it or not, the fact that there’s a jailbreak-free workaround means that anybody can use it.
Sure, MovieBox is a bit of a sketchy character – too sketchy for Apple’s liking, of course – but even though it’s not available at the App Store, doesn’t mean to say you can’t check it out.
If you are still interested though, you can install MovieBox for iOS 8.2 without jailbreak from vshare.
