Libra Is The First iPad Pro Bluetooth Keyboard With Built-In Trackpad For iPadOS 13

Having an iPad Pro that looks and acts like a MacBook Pro is something that a lot of people have been wishing for. The touch capabilities of Apple’s high-end tablet with the keyboard and trackpad of a notebook. It sounds amazing, and now it might be happening if a new Kickstarter campaign does its thing.

Libra is a keyboard case with a trackpad built in and it’s currently available for order via Kickstarter. It will support all iPad Pro models and connect to the tablet via Bluetooth. And it sounds amazing.

This is all made possible by the arrival of iPadOS 13.1, which includes support for mouse pointing as an accessibility feature. That means case makers can also tap into that and create this, a keyboard with a trackpad.

“With the release of the iPad OS, we knew that we could elevate the typing experience for iPad and at the same time add essential features that would deliver a more MacBook-like experience for users. Libra does just that, making the iPad more enjoyable, versatile and useful,” said Vince Zhu, the CEO of Sentis, the company that intends to make this thing.

Of course, this being Kickstarter, there’s no guarantee anything will ever be made. We hope that isn’t the case, though, and if you want to place an order, you can. The Libra will be available for $89 for early backers, with slow coaches having to pay $109 once the early bird offer has ended.
