Latest iMac Concept With Pro Display XDR Design Features Magic Trackpad With Wireless Charging And Apple Pencil Support

Apple is definitely due to refresh the iMac sooner or later although there’s no indication just how big a refresh we will see. There’s one thing we can pretty much be sure of though – it won’t be as impressive as this new concept. And that’s a damn shame.

Created by Kevin Kal, the video shows an iMac that closely resembles the impressive Pro Display XDR.

It runs at 28 inches across its diagonal and has Face ID built into the top bezel of the display. And that isn’t even the craziest part of all this, either.

Where things really take a turn for the improbable is the Magic Trackpad that not only wirelessly charges your iPhone, but can also interact with an Apple Pencil, too. But as crazy as it sounds, and as highly unlikely as it is, there’s no denying that such a thing makes the kind of sense that’s impossible to ignore. We’re just not sure that it’s possible right now.

As far as iMac concepts go this could be one of the best we’ve seen, and if Apple did ship this under the iMac brand we’d absolutely be here for it. Ignoring the trackpad for a moment, the rest does seem like something that could make a future iMac Pro. And it just so happens that the machine needs a refresh soon, too.

Apple couldn’t. Could it?
