iOS 16 Beta 4 Download, Release Date: When Apple Is Expected To Seed It?

Looking for the iOS 16 beta 4 download and release date for iPhone and iPad devices? Here’s when to expect it to seed it to developers, assuming past release dates are any guide.

Now that Apple has made the third developer betas of iOS 16 and iPadOS 16 available for download, all attention has predictably turned to when we can expect the fourth beta to be released.

Apple recently released a revised beta 3 that added support for Lock Screen album art, but the bigger changes are expected to arrive in the fourth beta.

If everything goes according to the usual release cadence we can expect Apple to make iOS 16 beta 4 available to developers on or around Wednesday, July 27. That’s also when the company is likely to make iPadOS 16 and other beta releases available in their fourth iterations as well. That includes tvOS 16, macOS 13 Ventura, and watchOS 9, of course.

Those looking to install the latest betas will of course need the required developer beta profiles, while those on the public beta program will need to wait an extra day or two before their own updates are released.

While Apple will release its betas every couple of weeks for the next few updates, expect Apple to switch to a weekly release schedule as we get closer to the big update shipping to the public. That’s expected to happen in or around September, likely in or around the same week as when Apple makes the iPhone 14 lineup available to buy.
