HomePod Software 15.3 Adds Multi-User Voice Recognition Support To More Countries

Apple’s recent release of iOS 15.3 Release Candidate shortly proceeded the release of a new HomePod Software update. HomePod Software 15.3 Release Candidate is now also available to those who are part of the testing program and it seems it brought with it new support for multi-user voice recognition.

While the feature is already available in some countries, this new release brings it to India and Italy according to a new 9to5Mac report.

Software version 15.3 adds Siri voice recognition support for up to six users in a home in English (India) and Italian(Italy). This update also includes performance and stability improvements.

With the multi-user voice support enabled Siri can differentiate between different people based on their voice and then provide different information based on their own data. Up to six different people can access their own messages, calendar information, and more.

The HomePod Software beta isn’t something that people can get on without being invited and it isn’t available to developers or those on the public beta programs for iOS, for example.

It isn’t yet known when HomePod Software 15.3 will be made available to everyone, but it is likely to follow the release of iOS 15.3, iPadOS 15.3, and the rest of Apple’s suite of updates.
