Galaxy Note 10+ Vs iPhone XS Max Drop Test Video Comparison

Whenever a new, large flagship phone is released there is always one question people ask. How well does it hold up when being dropped? With the Galaxy Note 10+ that question again came up, and now we have our answer.

YouTuber PhoneBuff took a Galaxy Note 10+ and pitted it against its nearest competitor, the iPhone XS Max.

Both phones were dropped from various heights and angles to see how well they would survive. In previous tests Samsung hasn’t done so well, especially with the Galaxy S10. In that case the in-screen fingerprint sensor failed immediately after the initial drop. NOt so with the Galaxy Note 10+.

In fact, according to PhoneBuff’s testing scheme, the Samsung phone came out on top. During each test a perfect 10 is awarded to the phone that suffered the least damage after a fall. A score of six through nine was then awarded to the second device depending on how it did compared to the winner.

After all of the tests PhoneBuff gave the Galaxy Note 10+ a winning total of 37 whereas the iPhone XS Max topped out at 34.

There’s just too much exposed glass for the devices to live through falls. That isn’t going to change any time soon, either.
