How To Jailbreak iOS 12.4 Using Unc0ver 3.5.x [Tutorial]

Here’s a guide on how to jailbreak iOS 12.4 using Unc0ver 3.5.x on a compatible iPhone, iPad or iPod touch device.

As you may already know by now, Unc0ver 3.5.x has been released to jailbreak latest, signed firmware version of iOS, which is iOS 12.4.

In the step by step guide below, we will show you how to jailbreak iOS 12.4 using unc0ver jailbreak IPA and Cydia Impactor. It’s important to note that only devices up to A11 are supported by iOS 12.4 jailbreak. What this means is that A12 and A12x based iPhone XS, iPhone XS Max, iPhone XR and 2018 iPad Pros are not supported on iOS 12.4.

Step 1: Upgrade or downgrade to iOS 12.4 right now while it’s still the latest signed firmware from Apple: Download iOS 12.4 Final IPSW Links And OTA Update For Your iPhone Or iPad.

Step 2: Download the latest unc0ver 3.5.x IPA from here. (Update: Download latest version from here)

Step 3: Next, download Cydia Impactor for your Windows PC or Mac from cydiaimpactor.com.

Step 4: On your iPhone or iPad, make sure Find My iPhone is turned off, there’s no OTA update waiting to be installed in Settings > Storage section (if there is, delete it), and passcode on the device is turned off. Once done, turn on Airplane Mode and then connect your iPhone or iPad to your computer.

Step 5: Now use Cydia Impactor that you downloaded in Step 3 above to sideload unc0ver jailbreak IPA on your device.

If you haven’t used Cydia Impactor, you can follow the instructions here on how to use it for sideloading IPAs.

Step 6: Once all that is done, head over to Settings > General > Device Management and make sure the profile is trusted for unc0ver app that you just sideloaded.

Step 7: Now launch unc0ver app from the Home screen. Hit the “Jailbreak” button and wait for jailbreak to complete.

During this jailbreak process, if you receive a prompt, simply tap OK to continue. Also, your device will be rebooted or re-spring-ed couple of times. When this happens, you will have to launch unc0ver app again and then hit the “Jailbreak” button once again to complete the jailbreak process. You will know the jailbreak is complete once you see Cydia icon on the Home screen after final respring.

And that’s about it. You should now have a jailbroken iPhone or iPad on iOS 12.4! Run Cydia and start installing jailbreak tweaks! Happy jailbreaking!
