Apple has just released watchOS 8.4 beta 1 along with tvOS 15.3 beta 1 to developers to download and install on compatible Apple Watch and Apple TV devices.

It was just yesterday we were told that Apple had an iOS 15.3 beta and watchOS 8.4 beta planned for a release this week, but the plug was pulled. Well, a day latter not only do we have iOS 15.3 beta 1 out, but watchOS 8.4 beta 1 along with tvOS 15.3 beta 1.

This new watchOS 8.4 beta release comes 4 days after Apple seeded the final version of watchOS 8.3.

As has always been the case, watchOS 8.4 comes looking to get some performance improvements and bug fixes in while the developers continue to sound off to Apple with their experience.

You can update your Apple Watch to watchOS 8.4 right now if you have the configuration file installed from the Apple Developer Center. With that in place, you can download the latest beta from the Apple Watch app on your paired iPhone, heading to General > Software Update.

So what does tvOS 15.3 beta 1 bring to the table for all us Apple TV users? More stability and subtle changes to performance for now. There are no real feature changes or even cosmetic ones, not that we can tell right now.

If you wish to try out tvOS 15.3 on your Apple TV, you will require downloading a configuration profile onto the device through Xcode.
