Download: iOS 13.5.5 Beta 1 IPSW Links, OTA Profile File, Beta 1 Of iPadOS 13.5.5, macOS 10.15.6 Released To Developers

You can now download iOS 13.5.5 beta 1 IPSW links and OTA profile file as well as beta 1 of iPadOS 13.5.5 and macOS 10.15.6 have been released. Here are the details.

Apple continues to push its macOS, iOS, and iPadOS updates through its usual beta program with new updates made available to developers for testing. Both iOS 13.5.5 and iPadOS 13.5.5 have been released to developers although Apple hasn’t said what new features or changes have been implemented.

Instead, it looks more likely that this is a bug fix release with the company simply saying that the “beta version of iOS 13.5.5 contains bug fixes and improvements.”

Developers can now download this update from developer.apple.com both as an OTA profile file as well as IPSW link and then put it through its paces. If we hear about any big new changes we’ll update this post – but we won’t be holding our breath.

Apple has also made macOS Catalina 10.15.6 available to developers in an initial beta form, again with little information available as to what it offers. Developers can download it via the System Preferences system in macOS and at the time of writing there is no sign of the update in Apple’s Developer Center.

We aren’t expecting any big new features here with Apple instead continuing to focus on stability, security, and performance improvements. After all, it isn’t difficult to find bugs and issues that need to be rectified in macOS, is it?

All three beta updates are likely to go through multiple iterations before they are made available to the public.
