Download: Android 8.1 Custom ROM For OnePlus 3T, OnePlus 5 / 5T Now Available
You can now download Android 8.1 custom ROM for OnePlus 3 / 3T (Liquid Remix 9.0) and OnePlus 5 / 5T (Dirty Unicorns).
Both downloads will give you the Android 8.1 experience for all of the aforementioned devices. In case you don’t know, the Liquid Remix 9.0 custom ROM is an Android 8.1 experience which has been developed and released by the lead developer of what was Liquid Smooth. The Remix 9.0 release is intended to usher in a new age of custom ROMs by blending all the best parts of historical ROMs but with an “added flavor” from the old Smooth days.
For those with a One Plus 3/3T, Liquid Remix 9.0 is a comprehensive ROM with an array of active buttons, such as hardware keys rebinding, volume key cursor control, and volume key answer. There is also an array of custom gestures and lock screen functionality.
All-in-all, a great Android 8.1 experience for those with a OnePlus 3/3T device. A similar experience is also provided by the Dirty Unicorns custom ROM for the OnePlus 5/5T hardware. For those who love to tinker with their Android devices, these custom ROMs are an excellent opportunity to do exactly that.
Rather than sitting on the firmware which has been provided to those devices, it offers the ability to overwrite the entire existing firmware and experience all of Android 8.1’s features on a device which would have otherwise had to wait for an official roll out.
If you are interested in getting your hands on either of these two custom ROM experiences, then you can grab them right now from the download links below. With that said, with great power comes great responsibility, which means that installing and getting up and running with these custom ROMs does take a little bit of advanced knowledge and expertise.
If you aren’t entirely comfortable with what you are doing then don’t attempt this as it could lead you down a very rocky and troublesome path. However, if you do have the requisite knowledge, and you want to take your OnePlus hardware to the next level, then get downloading and get installing.
