The HiddenSettings7 tweak, for those that missed it, unlocks bunch of cool iOS 7 settings obscured by Apple from the view of the end user, and having been released last week, the launch has now been swiftly followed by an update complete with support for the 64-bit processor of the iPhone 5s, iPad Air and iPad mini with Retina display. Further details, as well as info on where you may find HiddenSettings7 for A7, can be seen after the break.
With iOS 7, Apple decided that it would take a more personal approach to names. You may have noticed it yourself. You receive an iMessage or a plain text message for example, and in the message conversation you notice that the name is displayed as just the sender's first name, rather than their full name. Which is fine, so long as you only have one person that you converse with that has that name.
Now that the Evasi0n7 jailbreak is starting to mature and Saurik's Cydia Substrate (formally known as MobileSubstrate) has been updated to support the latest version of iOS, we're starting to see everyone's favorite tweaks and apps get updates that make them compatible with everything that has gone on over the last week or two. Some we've been waiting for more than others, and now three of the most requested updates have arrived.
Jailbreak tweaks tend to fall into one of two categories. The first category is for tweaks that make the iOS experience a nicer one to live with via improved aesthetics. Things like icon packs, themes for apps and custom fonts etc. fit squarely in this category, as you may well imagine.
TetherMe for iOS 7 is out. If you want to enable free Personal Hotspot tethering access on your iPhone or iPad, this is the tweak to get.
Apple's Maps app is still very much in the process of recovering from its disastrous launch alongside iOS 6 late in 2012, and although it's still quite a way off Google Maps in almost every sense, things have certainly improved during the past fifteen or so months. One of the marquee features of Maps since its inception has been the turn-by-turn navigation, but it's not available to every user. Certain locations don't yet have support for turn-by-turn, but a new tweak available in Cydia will unlock said feature if you are jailbroken.
We’ve put together a video on a list of some of the best jailbreak tweaks that have been released or updated specifically for iOS 7 since the introduction of the Evasi0n7 untethered jailbreak. Some of these tweaks are currently fully compatible with A7 devices, or have partial incompatibility, which we have listed below.
Want to speed up iOS 7 on your iPhone? Here we're going to cover five jailbreak tweaks that could, potentially at least, help to speed up iOS 7 on that iPhone or iPad that you tote around. Hopefully you won't be waiting for things to happen or apps to load anymore.
What is claimed to be a genuine prototype of the original iPhone has sold via Internet auction site eBay for a cool $1,499. Details on how exactly the seller managed to get their hands on the device are sketchy to say the least, but with the listing claiming the unit to be one of only five in existence, the Reddit user who made the purchase will certainly be the envy of many hardcore iPhone fanboys.
With the arrival of iOS 7 it's an undeniable fact that Apple changed the way our iPhones, iPads and iPod touches look in a pretty major way. Whether you like the more colorful, more flat and more playful aesthetic or not, there's no doubt that the hardware in your hand may have stayed the same, but the software is all-new.
