As we close in on the release of the highly-sought iPhone 5, many consumers will be keeping a vigil by their front doors, anticipating the arrival of their mail and packages; but once the outer envelope is torn away in a frenzied rush of excitement, what can they expect to see in terms of packaging?
The "stuck on a desert island" analogy is a thought-provoking hypothetical situation thrown up by many, in order to try and direct a subject into really mulling over an answer. Although the iPhone 5 won’t be publicly available until this coming Friday, a number of people have started to report that their pre-ordered units have started their journey from China to their part of the world. We've seen this behavior in the past with Apple taking the opportunity to make sure devices are shipped well in advance so they actually do get delivered on launch day rather than leaving a trail of unhappy customers. Compared to that, the iPhone 5’s main new features include a tweaked, taller design and display, faster internals and support for 4G LTE - a wireless technology that is available only in very selected regions around the globe.
The iPhone 5 is a hotly anticipated device, with pre-orders hitting the 2 million mark in the first 24 hours of launch, it is all set to be the most sought-after device for this holiday season. Although the announcement of the iPhone 5 brought about quite a bit of criticism from certain people who wanted Apple to introduce an all-new design for the device, a company spokeswoman has already claimed that the interest in the new iPhone is "incredible".
With the iPhone 5 stocks running dry within an hour of pre-orders going live a couple of days ago, Apple today has issued a press release stating that their latest smartphone has been pre-ordered a staggering 2 million times in just 24 hours.
