Evolution will always bring about change. On some occasions, the change isn't always considered a move for the better, as some people actually get used to a product the way it is and prefer it to remain. But when talking about consumer technology, and in particular cell phones and tablets, change is inevitable, it is purely a matter of when, not if. If the interpretations of recent findings are to be believed, then Apple's 'when' moment seems like it could be coming soon.

The iPhone 4S, a device frowned upon by many when the specifications and aesthetics were announced in October 2011, but then went on to sell over four million units in the first three days of availability. For those statisticians out there that equates 1,333,333.33 million units a day, 55,555 units each hour or 926 units each minute. Not bad for a gadget which, according to some offered very little over its younger brother, the iPhone 4. The first day sales figures obliterated the previous record of held by the iPhone 4 which shifted over 600,000 pre-orders in its first day.
We're fast approaching that time of year again. The time of year when tech journalists and anyone else mad enough descends upon the Sin City in order to get their hands on the latest and greatest gadgets the world of tech has to offer.
