Apple has just updated its iTunes app with a couple of rudimentary improvements and bug fixes. Notably, the bug that would previously cause iTunes to quit unexpectedly when syncing switched from wired and wireless has now been plugged, and a further issue which meant users would need to sign in repeatedly to the iTunes Store has also been sorted out. Apple TV has managed to transcend beyond being just a little "hobby" device for the Cupertino based company, and now finds itself as one of the company's main media-based consumer products. Although, the intelligent little black box is powered by a modified version of iOS, it doesn't have all of the same functionality that we see on the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch, such as almost unlimited third-party apps that can be accessed through the App Store. Apple has managed to thrash out deals with various high profile companies to bring their content to the media device, but there are still some services - like Plex - that aren't supported much to the distress of some users.

Apple quietly released a new iPod touch yesterday, adding a 16GB offering to the fifth generation of the popular iOS-based music player. More than just a new, smaller capacity clone of the existing models though, the 16GB iPod touch variant is actually a new design when compared to the other iPod touch models, and it even loses one or two of their features in the process.
Apple's Worldwide Developers Conference commences from next month on June 10th, and the well-informed Jim Dalrymple has waded into the ongoing debate by casting his expectations on the forthcoming event. Speaking with Walt Mossberg and Kara Swisher at D11 in California on Tuesday night, Tim Cook was predictably coy with regards to specific information on upcoming Apple products and services. Speaking calmly and in his typically emollient fashion, the Cupertino head honcho spoke broadly of his company's desire to continue innovating, on Google's Glass project, and an assortment of other important topics in tech space.

Google may be all set to bet the bank on Google Glass, but all the rumors suggest that Apple is set to come up with its own wearable technology, but not of the spectacled variety.
