The famed Apple critic John Gruber of Daring Fireball believes that the much talked about tracking down of user’s location data on the iPhone is likely an oversight or a bug, which is mostly likely going to be fixed in the next iOS 4.3.3 / 4.4 update.

Apple has just posted earnings for Q2 2011. They have managed to sold a record number of 18.65 million iPhones, 4.69 million iPads, 9.02 million iPods, 3.76 million Macs, and made around $24.67 billion in revenue. These statistics are slightly lower than the earnings recorded for Q1 2011 where the Cupertino-based company broke its own previous records.
Sources close to Reuters have informed them that Apple plans to start production of iPhone 5 in July this year, and will ship the final product to consumers in September.
iPhone developer iH8sn0w has just released Sn0wbreeze 2.6 for Windows users to fully jailbreak iOS 4.3.2 untethered running on iPhone 4, 3GS, iPad (1st-gen) and iPod touch. Just like Redsn0w, iPad 2 jailbreak on 4.3.2 is not supported yet.
Apple has filed a patent infringement lawsuit against Samsung for the Galaxy line of products. Apple claims that Samsung has infringed on their rights with the Galaxy S phones and Tab by violating various patents which were assigned to Apple by US PTO.

iPhone developer DjayB6 has released a new version of his “Ultrasn0w Fixer For 4.3.2” to make Ultrasn0w 1.2.1 unlock for both iPhone 4 and 3GS (old basebands only) compatible with the latest iOS 4.3.2 firmware.
