Just stumbled across this Android inspired theme for Google Chrome and thought I should share it with you all. If you happen to be an Android and Chrome user, you’ll fall in love with this theme.
Well it looks like iPad will allow you to make emergency phone calls in the time of need. According to GumballTech’s finding using the latest iPhone 3.2 SDK for iPad, if you incorrectly enter your passcode for 5 times consecutively, iPad brings up a screen with slide to emergency call just like the one found on the iPhone.
Market Enabler app for rooted Android phones enables access on the US Android Market with paid apps outside United States. Paid apps in Android Market are currently limited to selected countries like US. If you happen to be outside US, you are left out by Google which at the time only allows users from US and UK to access the paid app store.
Microsoft today has announced the availability of Facebook app for the Zune HD portable media player. Zune HD 4.3 firmware was released in November last year which added support for running 3D games and apps on the Tegra-powered Zune HD. The first batch of these games and apps finally arrived in late November as a free download via the Zune Marketplace followed by the Twitter app in December 2009.
According to sources at AppleInsider, Apple is preparing Mac mini’s for Hi-Definition HDMI output along with a possible Blu-ray drive option; set to release sometime this year. The trackball LED on Google Nexus One has the ability to show different colored lights but Google for some reason has programmed it in a way, so that it can only flash one white color. This seems as a step backwards specially when some other Android phones have this ability to flash one or more colors for use with different phone notifications such as missed calls, new mail, SMS and so on.
The biggest barrier to iPhone adoption has always been the cost of the hardware, along with the service charges that comes from the carrier’s plan. According to Katy Huberty from Morgan Stanley - an industrial analyst, the hardware cost stops about 85% of people from buying the iPhone while the service plan stops about 66%. But all this is said to change come this June, when Apple is expected to unveil the next-gen iPhone.
