It seems as if Apple has tremendous faith in the battery that is in the iPad. Loop Insight is reporting that Apple's website says, if your iPad battery dies, you need to just pay $99, and Apple will replace the entire iPad.

100,000 iPads Sold on First Day?

Business Insider is reporting that approximately 91,000 iPads were sold in the first 6 hours of the presale. With the presale lasting 8 hours, they must have hit 100,000 pre-orders today. These numbers are just estimates, but still impressive.

A new hardware solution for the tethered jailbreak has been announced over at www.myboyfriendisageek.com. It is called the "iDongle" and it is a small device that plugs into the 30 pin dock connector of your iPhone or iPod Touch. It solves the need to get home to your computer to re-jailbreak, if your device crashes or reboot on the go.

Another batch of iPhone apps are, apparently, about to get the axe. Reports are popping up around the net, that "cookie cutter" type apps are starting to be pulled from the App Store. This would include RSS apps, and photo gallery type apps. Any app that just packages an online service, and doesn't offer any other functionality.

Developer Hooked In Motion has recently released version 2.0 of "iCollect Movies" for iPhone and iPod touch. This app allows you to scan the barcode of your movies with your iPhone's camera. It then queries it's database and automatically adds the title to a easy to read catalog, including information like genre, rating, run time, and much more.
