Gaming fans looking to pick up Microsoft's Xbox One on launch day this November will be able to choose from a rather vast array of games when they get the shrink wrap off their new piece of kit after Microsoft made available a list of games that will be available at launch.
We've been covering each and every beta release of iOS 7, and just to offer more than a list of features and changes, I've been offering my early thoughts on each new release of Apple's iOS beta program. There's not much more boring when it comes to iOS devices, or indeed any smartphone or tablet, than having to enter a PIN code to unlock them. Unfortunately, for some at least, they can be a necessary evil. Whether it be to stop work colleagues from posting vaguely humorous comments to Facebook, or to make sure that your company's secrets are safe, PIN codes can often be one of the most important security measures at our disposal.
When Google announced its new Chromecast streaming dongle, the response amongst the technology world was split into two camps. Some shrugged their shoulders and said that it did nothing that Apple's Apple TV and AirPlay didn't already do. A new untethered jailbreak tool, by the name of UnthreadedJB, has just been released which apparently can jailbreak CDMA iPhone 4 running on iOS 5.1.
Google's Android may be in the news for all the right reasons at the moment, but just a few days ago, security vendor Bluebox Security announced that it had discovered a way that malicious code could be injected into otherwise entirely legitimate Android applications. Now, it would appear, this issue is more than just a theory after security firm Symantec announced in a blog post that it had discovered two apps that had fallen foul of the exploit, named Master Key exploit.
Apple's Developer Portal has been offline for some time now, and with reports of a claimed security breach by a security researcher still echoing across the internet, the iPhone maker has today updated its users and developers on the situation, whilst also offering more information on how the company intends to restore service to its developer hub.
