Apple Reportedly Planning An iPhone 9 Media Event By End Of March

Rumors of a March iPhone 9 announcement have been around for months, and now a new report suggests that we can expect an announcement at the very end of March.

The report is from German site iPhone-ticker.de, with the belief being that a new iPhone 9 will be announced at the end of next month, likely Tuesday 31st. The report also has Apple then making the phone available on April 3rd.

We recently saw analyst Ming-Chi Kuo say that the iPhone 9 will be announced in the first half of 2020 despite the impact still being felt by the coronavirus. He didn’t say the first quarter which would obviously end at the end of March.

It isn’t clear whether this will be the only announcement at the event. But we’ve also been hearing of a potential iPad Pro refresh being imminent, so it’s possible will be part of the event, too.

We’ll see in the coming weeks as to whether there is any accuracy in this latest report, but with there being multiple devices and accessories still to be announced – refreshed MacBook Pro notebooks and Apple’s AirTags being two – it does stand to reason that a media event is around the corner.

March has been a favorite month of Apple’s before, so keep your fingers crossed!
