Accessory Maker Anker Launches A $100 24K Gold-Plated USB-C To Lightning Cable

Anker is a name that you’re probably very familiar with. The company makes some of the best and reasonably priced accessories around; which makes the news that it just launched a $100 USB-C to Lightning cable, all the more strange.

What’s more, the cable costs $100 thanks to its use of 24K gold.

You can buy this thing from Amazon right now, with Anker saying that each cable is “assembled partially by hand and must pass through a painstaking 51-step construction process to meet our exacting standards.” The cables are good for 35,000 bends and it’s all MFi-certified so you know you won’t have any problems using them with Apple’s kit no matter what software updates arrive.

Each cable comes in at 6ft long with the cable being black and gold colored. You can use it for charging iPads and iPhones as quickly as possible and at this price we’d want someone to come and plug it in for us as well.
