Zoom Picks Up Support For The iPad Pro’s New Center Stage Camera Feature

The iPad version of Zoom has received a new update that adds support for the new Center Stage feature that is offered by the latest 2021 M1 iPad Pro tablets.

The feature, which is also available to other apps that take advantage of the API, not to mention FaceTime, allows the camera to pan and zoom to make sure that a person’s face is on the frame at all time.

If multiple people are in-frame, the camera will make sure that nobody has half of their head cut off.

The newly updated Zoom is available for download from the App Store now, although you’ll obviously need to have one of the new iPad Pro tablets to be able to take advantage of Center Stage.

With support for Center Stage, you can participate more naturally in our Zoom video calls. Never again worry about whether you’re out of frame during a workout, teaching a class, or celebrating with friends and family over Zoom.

A new expanded gallery view is also part of this update, with more iPads able to take advantage of that.

Anyone running a 12.9-inch iPad Pro in landscape will be able to see up to 48 different video tiles at the same time. Perfect for business calls or those with huge families.
