watchOS 6 For Apple Watch Announced: Features, Release Date [Everything You Need To Know]

Cupertino-based Apple Inc. has used the 2019 WWDC opening keynote in San Jose, California to give the world its first introduction to watchOS 6.

Built for Apple Watch, watchOS 6 is the next-generation of watchOS firmware and comes with a number of improvements and notable upgrades over earlier versions.

Apple has a history of keeping those in attendance guessing when it comes to the “will they/won’t they” question about firmware announcements.

It’s a total given that the company will introduce the next-generation of iOS during the opening keynote but it’s generally anyone’s guess as to whether the company will look to make further announcements about less popular firmware, such as watchOS.
