Samsung Mocks iPad Display And Lack of Multitasking In New Galaxy Tab S Ads [Video]

Ben Reid·July 12, 2014
It's a well-known fact that Samsung spends copious amounts of money on advertising and marketing, and a good deal of that budget is commanded by adverts bashing rival Apple in one way or another. Two of the most influential outfits in mobile space, it's not uncommon for each company to deliver several ads a year taking shots at the other's products and services, and as such, it should come as little surprise that Samsung's efforts to plug its Galaxy Tab S line includes a few not-so-subtle digs at the Apple iPad.

Here’s What OS X Yosemite’s Third-Party App Icons Might Look Like [Images]

Ben Reid·July 10, 2014
At this year's Worldwide Developer Conference, Apple delivered quite a few surprises with regards to OS X 10.10 Yosemite, but one feature we had been almost certain of many months prior to WWDC was that of the appearance. We knew, given the significant alterations made with iOS 7, that the Cupertino's thirst for uniformity would spill over to the Mac, and so it proved with the showcasing of a decidedly flattened-out Yosemite. Even though, as ever with such drastic visual changes, it's probably going to take some developers weeks - even months - to update their apps in compliance with the new look, some eager folk have already been trying to imagine what the icons of some stock and third-party apps may look like when given the Yosemite treatment.

New Samsung Galaxy S5 TV Ad Makes Fun Of iPhone 5s Battery Life [Video]

Ben Reid·July 3, 2014
Although Apple and Samsung regularly drag one another through the slog of the courtroom in quibbles over patents and whatnot, these two keenest of rivals also like to take digs at each other through advertising. Whether a new product is being released or has been around for several months, both Apple and Samsung like to point out the flaws of their adversary's product lines, and now, the Korean Galaxy maker has taken a pop at the iPhone's battery life.

New iPhone 6 Renders Cover Many Never-Before-Seen Details [Images]

Paul Morris·July 3, 2014
The growing list of "iPhone 6" leaked visuals, components and schematics seem to be never-ending at the moment. Rarely does a day go by at the moment without someone claiming to have inside knowledge of Apple's supply chain through which they have extracted the exact design and visuals of the next-generation iPhone. Rarely do these predictions turn out to be true. Still, the annual pre-release dance is always entertaining, bringing with it some beautiful looking concepts and renders from some of the Internet's best designers. The latest visuals, and perhaps the most convincing and aesthetically pleasing yet, come from designer Mark Pelin and aim to incorporate all of the most reputable leaks into one single artist's impression.

Lindsay Lohan Files Lawsuit Against Makers Of GTA 5 For Portraying Her In The Game

Aatif·July 3, 2014
The star of controversy just cannot have it enough, period. According to a latest report, Lindsay Lohan, the celebrity whose controversial personal and professional life rivals that of Kim Kardashian, has filed a lawsuit against Rockstar Games for allegedly basing a character in the infamous Grand Theft Auto 5 on the actress herself.

Here’s What The GTA 5 Trailer Looks Like When Remade In Real Life [Video]

Ben Reid·July 1, 2014
Grand Theft Auto 5 has been a monumental success for Rockstar Games, having broken all sorts of sales records following its release late last year. With a next-gen version for Xbox One and PlayStation 4, as well as the PC also in the pipeline, GTA fans remain very much engaged with this immensely popular title, and none perhaps more so than the guys at Zapruder Pictures. In Spain's capital city of Madrid, the folks of Zapruder have parodied the entire trailer in real life, and the result, as you'll see below, is truly something to admire.

Samsung Smart Bike Revealed: The Perfect On-Road Companion [Video]

Ben Reid·June 17, 2014
The smartphone and tablet markets have revolutionized the modern digital spectrum, but having become completely integrated in our lives, OEMs have sought new ways to digitalize every aspect of our existence. Along with Google's work on self-driving cars, the Project Tango mapping and of course, the head-mounted Project Glass, numerous companies are trying their hand at smartwatches, but while Samsung was the first major outfit to follow the Pebble with its own wrist-worn gadget, the Korean juggernaut has also dreamt up its very own "Smart" pushbike.

Humor: iWatch Introduction; Apple Style [Video]

Oliver Haslam·June 1, 2014
Now that WWDC is just around the corner, all eyes are very much on what Apple will be announcing when Tim Cook and his band of merry men take to the stage. While we're all supremely confident that iOS 8 and Mac OS X 10.10 will be revealed at the event thanks to new banners being erected over the last day or two, other details are largely unknown. Rumors leading up to this point had suggested we might see a new product category appear, but that's now looking unlikely.

Here’s What An Apple Smartwatch From The 1980s Looks Like [Photo]

Ben Reid·May 23, 2014
This year, Apple is expected to finally take the wraps off the elusive iWatch, which will compete with the likes of the Pebble and Samsung's multitude of wearables already on the market. Add the fact that Google has just showcased the Android Wear dev kit, and you feel that it's perhaps even crucial that Apple does finally cave so as not to allow rivals to get a significant advantage. But actually, the iWatch wouldn't be the first time the Cupertino's designers dreamed up a watch bearing the famed logo, as this very intriguing throwback from the eighties demonstrates.
