Apple’s iPhone announcements tend to follow a very specific script, and with September 10th the confirmed date for the official unveiling of the two new handsets in store, we’re likely to see the familiar sequence of events. Tim Cook will make the announcement, before Phil Schiller and others begin reeling off a bunch of reasons why the newer model “changes everything, again.” To mark the occasion, a new parody video is doing the rounds, and pokes a little fun at the Cupertino company for its archetypal ways. Apple really brought forth some significant changes with the iPhone 5, and one of the most obvious is the new, larger display. Having stuck faithfully by its 3.5-inch configuration since day one, the Cupertino-based company finally felt it time to offer users of its iconic smartphone a little bit more real estate to play around with. However, breaking from the mold of many rivaling vendors, the fruit company opted to maintain the same width of the display, instead adding a sizeable block of pixels along the top.

We aren’t really sure what Apple has in store for us in regards to the naming convention for their next-generation iPhone. It could be the iPhone 5, although that doesn’t really make any sense considering it’s the sixth-generation of their smartphone. It could follow the route which Apple took with the current iPad model and just called it The New iPad, or it could be something totally different altogether which we aren’t aware of. Regardless of what it’s called, the bottom line is the interest in the device is currently at unprecedented levels that have pushed Apple’s market capitalization value to the highest of all time, making them the most valuable company in history. Not bad.
