Apple has, save a few well-documented howlers along the way, steadily improved iOS through generations. With that said, there's certainly scope for much improvement, and TheVerge user brentcas has had a pop at suggesting some amendments to one key area in particular need of updating and improving - the lock screen.
Apple's iPhone 5 launch has to be considered a great success, despite initial launch sales figures falling somewhat short of expectation. The Cupertino company's ability to sell the device was naturally hindered by yield constraints, and with Foxconn struggling to churn out the numbers required by Apple, Tim Cook's company had to place limitations on how many unlocked devices individual customers could grab at any one time.
Have you ever had one of those days when you wake up and you just have too much money in your wallet or purse? No? Me either, but if you are an iPhone 5 or an iPad mini owner and fancy owning something that none of your friends have or will have seen before then a new color modification service could turn that current-generation iDevice into a modern day work of art that stands out from all other hardware on the market.

And although, the version of said app for the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch was fairly accomplished to begin with, Google has added some great features as well as an aesthetic overhaul.
Rockstar Games' iconic Grand Theft Auto: Vice City is ten years old would you believe, and to commemorate the release, the game developer is pushing a reworked version out to those wielding the popular mobile devices. Keeping up on the jailbreak coverage is something we strive towards here at Redmond Pie, and in light of the recent release of iOS 6.1 beta 3 to developers, we've got the low-down on how you can jailbreak this latest firmware preview. Of course, it's a tethered jailbreak for Pre-A5 based devices, so if you're rocking a brand new iPhone 5, an iPhone 4S, iPad 2/3/4, iPod touch 5th-gen or iPad mini, you unfortunately won't be able to enjoy the perks of the jailbreak, laid on - as ever - by the iPhone Dev Team's Redsn0w tool. If, however, your device is susceptible to the Limera1in exploit (basically any device I didn't mention above that isn't completely antiquated), then you can enjoy a tethered break right now - details after the jump.

There are literally hundreds of apps claiming to have the perfect combination of interface and features to help you through even the busiest of days, but To-do Lists Mobile by AntLogic is certainly one of the best we've stumbled across so far.
The iOS Music app (or iPod app, if you're running on an older firmware version) is a very basic amenity, and although it does exactly what it says on the tin in playing music, it's not the most exciting experience in the world. Tunebooth Music Player by mART is everything your native player isn't, and if you like apps based on gestures, customizable layouts and dynamic theming options, it sounds as though Tunebooth is the app you've been waiting for.
Downloading a game that is centered around pure arithmetic might not sound like everyone's idea of a great time, especially when the App Store is home to a plethora of sporting, simulation and action games. With that said, they do say that a change is good for the soul, so where is the harm in having some fun directly from the palm of your hand while also feeding your brain the food it needs to stay active? Math QuizUp is a new game for the iPhone, iPad and iPod touch that allows a user to test their arithmetic skillsagainst other gamers in a mathematical face-off.
