The British Broadcasting Service, or BBC, is renowned worldwide for its eloquent, objective news publications, and with this year's Olympic Games being held in London, it was only right the BBC, often referred to as the Beeb, would deliver its own app designed especially for the games.
With the 2012 Summer Olympic Games are just a couple of weeks away, NBC has teamed up with Adobe to release mobile apps for iPhone, iPod touch, iPad and “select” Android smartphones and tablets. Check them out after the jump!
As with Instagram, which was recently bought out by Facebook for a whopping one billion dollars, I often wonder whether the guys over at Rovio could have predicted just how successful their mobile title Angry Birds would grow to become. Google Chrome has been available for iOS devices for just over a week and has already managed to steamroll its way to the top of the free download charts in the App Store. Since the announcement of Google's Nexus 7 tablet, the speculation regarding Apple's purported smaller iPad has been incessant, and to add to the increasing tally of rumors and reports, The Wall Street Journal believes the fruit company has prepared component suppliers for large quantities of specific parts in preparation for the device.
