When Apple renamed the iPad, preferring to go with the iPad Air designation, everyone came to the logical conclusion that Apple must, presumably, be working on a new iPad that it would eventually call the iPad Pro. This assumption is obviously based on the fact that Apple's MacBook lineup has both an Air and a Pro model. After all, why change the name of the iPad at all if Apple wasn't planning on introducing something alongside it?

Although we've not heard or seen a great deal of tangible evidence to suggest that an Apple iWatch is even in existence, those in favor of the idea have continued to maintain that the Cupertino Company will be joining the likes of Pebble, Samsung and Sony in due course by releasing its own smartwatch. While it's somewhat difficult to get excited about something that mightn't ever see the light of the day, we can always rely on the designers to conjure up some interesting visuals, and resident concept-maker Martin Hajek has come through with an intriguing two-pronged iWatch[s] and iWatch[c] concept, akin to the higher-end iPhone 5s and it's cheaper, polycarbonate accomplice.

Another year is drawing to a close, which means that we'll have gone another twelve months without an Apple television being released. While that fact seems to perpetually bamboozle so-called analysts, it probably won't come as too much of a shock to those that don't spend their days with their heads in the clouds. Still, just because Apple hasn't announced its own television, that doesn't mean that we can't have some fun.

Some analysts, as well as many general Apple fans, have been under the impression that the fruit company would, at some stage, come through with its own connected TV effort, unofficially referred to as 'iTV.' The name itself probably wouldn't hold; at least, not in the UK, where it is the name of one of the foremost broadcasting services, and by the lack of any tangible activity or evidence to suggest otherwise, it doesn't seem as though iTV is anywhere near the top of Apple's to-do list. The substantial improvements to the range of Apple TV content suggests that the little black box is doing just fine for now, and if Jony Ive and his design minions did feel like revamping the OS in the image of iOS 7, perhaps the concept below, dreamed up by designer Andrew Ambrosino, offers us something of a preview.

Just a couple of days back, we tipped our readers off to rumors pertaining to Windows 8.2, and what “Threshold” might mean for the end user. It's a sad fact of the fast-moving tech world that a device doesn't even need to have released nowadays before we deem it acceptable to begin talking about its eventual successor, and despite the iPhone 5s being lauded by many as the best thing since sliced bread, we've already heard reports of the next iPhone boasting a larger display. Until we have any solid evidence, though, everything we hear or see is more than likely the figment of somebody's imagination, and the concepts below, which are most certainly conjured from deep within the creative minds of one design agency, show us what a curved iPhone 6c, alongside an iPhone Air, may look like.

An intriguing new concept for iPhone shows just how a rather endearing, whimsical and simplistic interface could help us to once again appreciate the look of 3D shapes and effects on our device's display. Designer Doug Hindson has, along with his colleagues, created a short demonstration video of his idea, and although the 'Skew' concept perhaps makes little practical sense given the current state of iOS 7, it does look rather nice. Apple's latest edition to the iPad range - the iPad Air - seems to be going down with a storm with those who already have their hands on the 9.7-inch tablet. The latest and so-called greatest iPad yet is thinner, lighter and blazing fast thanks to the new A7 processor and 64-bit architecture, but more important than all of that, it seems to be getting rave reviews from those using it. With the new iPad being such an early success, it was only a matter of time until we started to see new concepts flying around the net, with one of the first bringing the same Air treatment to Apple's iPhone hardware.

A large proportion of road accidents can be attributed to texting and driving, which, as attractive as it can be for long drives, can lead to serious consequences. Still, it’s a shame (and wonder) that none of the major smartphone manufacturers have ever taken any measures to prevent this at the root level. Nevertheless, that doesn’t mean it hasn’t bothered the user community, and that is precisely why New York-based designer Joey Cofone came up with a concept design of a Car Mode in iOS that would practically enforce that you cannot text while driving.
