Spoiler: Apple’s September 15 Event Set To Be All About iPad And Apple Watch, Not iPhone 12

Apple announced a new media event for next Wednesday, September 15 and while it didn’t say what will go into that event, we think we might know, and it won’t be iPhones.

According to multiple outlets, Apple won’t be announcing new iPhones during the September event.

Instead, iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro will have to wait until October. We already knew the iPhones wouldn’t be ready to ship in September, but now it appears we won’t see them be announced, either.

Instead, September will be left to Apple Watch and iPad. We’ve seen reports that Apple will announce a new flagship Apple Watch Series 6 alongside a cheaper model this year, something that would presumably mean the death of Apple Watch Series 3 and Apple Watch Series 5.

As for iPad, we’ve already seen images of what appear to be paperwork relating to a new iPad Air. That device doesn’t have a Home button and resembles an 11-inch iPad Pro. The move away from a Home button could warrant an event in itself, especially if the rumored Touch ID built into the power button turns out to be true.

For now, we’re left waiting. The event will take place in less than a week from now and we do know one thing – new products of some description will be announced by the time it comes to a close.
