Mark Your Calendars, It’s Happening: Apple Announces September 15 Event

There were rumors that something might happen today, but we didn’t know what. Now we do – Apple just announced that it will hold a press event on September 15. And it’ll be held entirely online, thanks to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic.

While Apple hasn’t said what the announcement will include, it does say that we should join the company at Apple Park at 10 am PDT.

With Apple still set to announce iPhones, Apple Watches, iPads, and who-knows-what within the next few weeks there’s a chance we could see all of those be announced next week. The iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Pro lineup aren’t expected to ship until October, but an announcement could still come next week.

An Apple Watch announcement is almost guaranteed at this point, however. Rumors of a new Apple Watch Series 6 release alongside a new, cheaper model have been common in recent days. The same goes for rumors relating to a new, redesigned iPad Air as well. The removal of the Home button is the key design change there, with a potential for Touch ID to also be built into the power button for the first time.

Whatever Apple plans to announce, we could still learn more about the products between now and next Wednesday. We’re in prime leak season, after all!

Anyone and everyone can watch the event live next week. We’d expect it to be streamed on apple.com, YouTube, and the Apple Events app on Apple TV. We’ll be watching and we’re sure you will be, too!
