Samsung To Announce A ‘Zero Bezel’ TV At CES 2020 [Report]

With CES now just weeks away Samsung is said to have a new TV up its sleeve. That’s no surprise, but the fact that it will have no bezel is. According to a new report, this will be the first Zero Bezel TV to be announced to the world.

Those reports come from South Korea and have the machine receiving “two thumbs up” from Samsung’s consumer electronics head, Kim Hyun-seok.

And while many TVs appear at CES and then disappear for years before finally being released, this one looks set to go into production as soon as February.

It’s not likely to be cheap, though. Sizes will reportedly start at 65-inches which is already a premium screen size. Add in the fact there will be no bezel and the surely complicated manufacturing process this will entail, and this is very likely to be the kind of TV most of us aspire to rather than actually buy.

To add further fuel to the fire, Samsung applied for a European trademark for the term Zero Bezel a couple of months ago. That would definitely fit with whatever branding such a TV would need. And it’s certainly a term that will get attention in a world where new TVs arrive on a seemingly weekly basis.

If mass production really is starting in February it’s likely we can expect sales to begin shortly afterward. And who knows, pre-orders might be available shortly after CES, too.
