Do you want to test Android OS on your Windows Mobile phone? Well folks over at XDA-Developers have managed to (soft of) port Android 2.0.1 (Eclair) on selected Windows Mobile based HTC phones through an emulation software named Haret. If you have HTC Touch Diamond2, Touch Pro2 or Touch HD, you can go ahead and try it out to get a taste of Android OS on your Windows phone.
The first unboxing pictures of the upcoming Google Nexus One phone has been leaked via djrobrob on twitter. The design of the box is very Google-like with white background color, and “Nexus One” and “Google” branding in black to go on top of it. Though the design of the box may not be the final thing, it leaves little to no doubt that this phone is indeed going to be a Google branded phone.
The upcoming Google Nexus One phone with Android 2.1 has this built-in feature with which you can set animated wallpaper as your background just like how you can do on HTC HD2 with HTC Sense. Since Android 2.1 has now been ported over to Droid, it is now possible to run animated wallpapers. Thanks to the folks over at DroidForums who have posted a hack to enable this feature on Motorola Droid, running Android 2.1 ROM.

HTC Sense for Windows Mobile keeps getting better and better with every new version. The latest 2.5.1921 Build of HTC Sense (aka Manila and TouchFLO 3D) brings a new “Documents Tab” which lets you quickly browse through your documents stored in “\My Documents” location right from the beautiful Sense interface. The best thing about this add-in is that it supports almost all popular major formats like .txt, .doc, .docx and .pdf.
We informed you about the new and upcoming T-Mobile US ROM for HTC HD2, which hinted towards a possible US release of the said device. And now it seems like the ROM has been leaked, and is available for download. Beware though as this ROM is for T-Mobile US only and it may have issues working properly with carriers outside United States.
The HTC roadmap that was leaked some time back revealed that HTC is set to release three Windows Mobile based handsets in the first half of 2010, the HTC Photon, HTC Trophy and HTC Tera. None of these mentioned devices can be graded as high end devices. The roadmap, thus brought somewhat disappointment to HTC fans.
A Russian site by the name of Mobiset.ru has managed to grab, what looks like first clear photographs of the upcoming sequel to the popular Motorola Droid phone, called Sholes Tabled. Sholes Tablet, which is also sometimes knows as the Droid 2.0 will be the flagship device of Motorola in the year 2010 and it is most likely to ship with Android 2.1 in the first half of 2010.
Motorola Droid on Verizon Wireless in US doesn't support multitouch functionality in most apps even though the hardware is fully capable of running it. This is probably due to the US iPhone patents as the upcoming Google Nexus One phone will also have no multitouch functionality in browser and Maps app. The European version of Motorola Droid, called Motorola Milestone is fully capable of pinch to zoom and tap functionality just like the iPhone is.
