Apple has just sent out invites for the “Special Event” which is going to be held on September 1st 2010 at 10AM Pacific Time / 1PM Eastern Time in San Francisco. Expect Apple to announce new iPod touch 4 with FaceTime, iTunes in Cloud, the new Apple TV (dubbed iTV), iOS 4.1 for iPhones and iPod touches and iOS 4 for iPad. Hopefully we will also have more updates related to the availability of White iPhone 4 which has been delayed twice for “until later this year”.
It was only last week when we reported about a USB Modchip called the PS Jailbreak for the PlayStation 3 which enable users to create backups of original games on the internal or any external drive connected to the PS3. One of the biggest complain has been the high price tag ($169), considering that it could go to waste if Sony cripples it in the next firmware update. Not so long ago, we covered about Apple’s rumored plans to launch a new iMac with a multitouch display which will run a iOS 4 layer on top of OS X to use touchscreen capabilities. Well it looks like we are finally going to see a touchscreen computer from Apple after all. A new interesting patent has just popped up which shows a touchscreen capable iMac dubbed as the “Apple iMac Touch”.
iOS 4 brought tons of new features to both the iPhone and iPod touch, the major one being multitasking or task switcher. Facebook for iPhone App has Over 100 Million Users! That is as Much as All iOS Devices Sold by Apple
According to a recent post on Facebook blog, Facebook has over 150 million users actively accessing the worlds largest social networking site via mobile devices. Out of those 150 million active mobile users, “Facebook for iPhone” accounts for a staggering 100 million users per month. Now that is as much as the number of iOS based devices (iPhone, iPad and iPod touch) sold by Apple as per June of this year. What this means is that there is a “Facebook for iPhone” app installed on almost every iOS device ever sold!
Did you ever felt the need to close all the apps in one go which are running in background on any of your iDevice running iOS 4.x?
