The battle of the best is a continuing fight and when we look at the third quarter of 2011 we see that Samsung has taken the lead. We aren’t just talking about a slight lead here either.
The iPad 2, which was released earlier this year, is, from what I can tell, one of the slowest iOS devices to get a jailbreak. So far, it has only been jailbroken on iOS 4.3.3 and there has been no news of an iOS 5 jailbreak… until today, that is. An iPhone Dev-Team member has confirmed that the iPad 2 has been jailbroken on iOS 5 and we’ve got the details after the jump!

If there's one thing we all seem to enjoy doing, it's looking into the future and making weird and wonderful predictions about what the future will be like, and how our world will be changed dramatically by the technology around us.
So it appears that Apple is interested in creating gestures for devices like the Mac, iPad, and iPhone that allow a user to remotely control and edit video recordings. This is an interesting design feature and was discovered in a recent patent application by Apple themselves.

One of the first things bloggers do when they attend an event where a new smartphone is announced is compare said smartphone’s performance against others, more established names in the smartphone industry. Our friends over at SlashGear did exactly this at yesterday’s Nokia World, where Nokia announced its first Windows Phone 7-based smartphone called the Lumia 800, comparing its browser performance against the iPhone 4S and the Samsung Galaxy S II.
Last year, Adobe introduced an amazing new feature called Content-Aware Fill to their popular graphics editing program Photoshop. The feature was based on a technology called in-painting which allowed users to remove unwanted objects from their otherwise perfect photograph in a very easy way. Today, we came across an app called TouchRetouch which lets you do the same, albeit on an Android smartphone and it is what we’ll be talking about in this post.
It seems we can't go longer than a couple of weeks without the Apple rumor mill churning up another, well, rumor. We've barely let the dust settle on our freshly ripped open iPhone 4S boxes, but the iPad 3 claims have already started to circular with alarming frequency.
The jailbreak community presents the perfect opportunity for developers to plug the holes which exist with each and every iOS release. Apple's fifth iteration of its mobile operating system has brought forth some great new features, but there is, and always will be, room for improvement.
