iOS 7.1 Has Been Jailbroken On iPhone 4s

Ben Reid·March 27, 2014
Back when iOS 7.1 first released, it quickly became apparent that the Evasi0n exploit had been patched by Apple, and as such, those wishing to preserve their jailbreak should stick with a pre-iOS 7.1 firmware. Shortly after Apple dropped the first significant update to its mobile firmware, seasoned hacker Winocm revealed that he had managed to jailbreak an iPhone 4 untethered on iOS 7.1, and now, fellow iOS security expert iH8sn0w has done likewise for the iPhone 4s (A5).

How To Speed Up Animations In iOS 7.0 – 7.0.6

Oliver Haslam·March 27, 2014
The speed at which Apple's iOS 7 completes its animations has long been a topic of discussion amongst many. Overly-long, labored transitions between apps, screens and even opening or closing folders are no fun at all, and iOS 7 had them in spades. Thankfully iOS 7.1 seems to have fixed the issue to a large extent, but if you're holding off updating to iOS 7.1 then you need some way of making everything feel more fluid and less like it's floundering around in treacle.

Ben Reid·March 27, 2014
Luxottica Group, the parent company of prestigious eyewear brands Ray-Ban and Oakley, has signed a deal with Google that will bring an element of style to the search giant's wearable Glass technology. In a fashion-conscious society, Glass has been trolled by anyone and everyone for its geeky connotations, but with these two decidedly cool brands bringing out their own ranges, perhaps there is some consumer-market potential here after all.

Ben Reid·March 27, 2014
iOS 7 has just been released into the wild, and even though it has been a smooth ride for the majority of iPhone, iPad and iPod touch users, it hasn't been without the usual spate of bugs and teething issues. Following on from the earlier reports that the folders-in-folders trick was still in business - something we thought Apple had blocked with iOS 7.1 - it now looks like the very same technique can be utilized to hide certain apps completely.

The deal to acquire the company, which specializes in researching and making virtual reality headsets, is a cash + stock deal akin to WhatsApp, with $400 million being paid in dollars, and the rest taking the form of 23.1 million shares in Facebook stock.
