New iPhone 6 Renders Cover Many Never-Before-Seen Details [Images]

Paul Morris·July 3, 2014
The growing list of "iPhone 6" leaked visuals, components and schematics seem to be never-ending at the moment. Rarely does a day go by at the moment without someone claiming to have inside knowledge of Apple's supply chain through which they have extracted the exact design and visuals of the next-generation iPhone. Rarely do these predictions turn out to be true. Still, the annual pre-release dance is always entertaining, bringing with it some beautiful looking concepts and renders from some of the Internet's best designers. The latest visuals, and perhaps the most convincing and aesthetically pleasing yet, come from designer Mark Pelin and aim to incorporate all of the most reputable leaks into one single artist's impression.

Google Launches Official Android Wear Companion App [Download Link]

Paul Morris·July 3, 2014
Great news for all Android Wear device owners out there: Google has just added to the momentum of the Wear freight train initiative by introducing the official Android Wear companion app for tablets and smartphones. The new app has been designed and developed to act as an intermediary piece of software that connects the user's phone or tablet with the Android Wear hardware, which at the moment will be either the Samsung Gear Live or the LG G Watch. The app is available to download immediately from the Play Store.

This iWatch Concept Features iOS 8, 2.5-inch Display, Ton Of Health Sensors [Video]

Oliver Haslam·July 3, 2014
If you want a break from all of the iPhone concept videos then how about an iWatch concept? We may be almost certain that a new iPhone will arrive around September time, but the existence of an iWatch is still just a rumor - albeit one that just won't die. A rumor it may be, but it's a rumor that sees plenty of information cropping up seemingly on a daily basis, and at this point we have to be fairly confident that we'll see a smartwatch with an Apple logo on it some time later this year.

Microsoft’s Smartwatch Will Have 11 Sensors, Works Cross-Platform

Oliver Haslam·July 3, 2014
Now that Google has well and truly shown its hand in the smartwatch arena, all eyes are firmly on Apple and the supposed iWatch announcement that's been penciled in for October time. With all the focus on those two companies, Microsoft has flown somewhat under the radar, but new reports suggest that het software giant may have its very own smartwatch on the way with a similar October release timeframe.

Rochester Optical Sunglass Lenses For Google Glass Now Available

Paul Morris·July 2, 2014
Google Glass may have managed to notch up legions of fans thanks to its technical capabilities, but could we about to see the fashion conscious adopt the wearable technology as a statement of style? It may sound a little far-fetched as the product isn't exactly the most aesthetically pleasing piece of kit we've ever come across. However, in an effort to stand apart from other providers of prescription lenses for Glass, Rochester Optical has started offering a line of stylish sunglass lenses that are compatible with Google's eyewear.

iPhone 5c Outsold The Mighty Galaxy S5 In May

Ben Reid·July 2, 2014
Samsung's flagship release for 2014, the Galaxy S5, launched in a blaze of glory back in April, with many quick to pour praise on the great camera and display features. But while the device's early sales figures made for happy reading for all connected with Samsung, the UK numbers tell a story in which the iPhone 5c - Apple's so-called "entry-level" model of iPhone - managed to outsell the all-new GS5, with both the 5c and the Cupertino's flagship 5s each shifting more units for the Galaxy S5 for the month of May.

PlayStation 4 DualShock 4 Controller Now Works Wirelessly With The PS3

Oliver Haslam·July 2, 2014
If there's one thing about Sony's PlayStation 4 that is undoubtedly better than its predecessor, it's the DualShock 4 controller. The third-generation DualShock came in quite a lot of criticism, and rightly so, and the folks in Japan clearly paid attention to that criticism because, thankfully, the DualShock 4 is a much better proposition, which means you might want to use it with your PlayStation 3, too.

First Batch Of Android Wear Apps Now Available In Play Store [Video]

Ben Reid·July 2, 2014
We know that Android Wear, like most smartwatch ecosystems, will rely heavily on a smartphone for a great deal of its functionality. Given that they're designed, in essence, to supplement our handsets, this isn't too much of a surprise, but with some standalone Android Wear apps having just cropped up on Google Play, it's clear that the likes of the Moto 360, and LG's G Watch will have minds of their own, too. The first batch of Android Wear apps untethered by any post-installation smartphone interaction have begun appearing on the Play Store, and although, naturally, we're talking bare basics in terms of functionality, it sets a very encouraging precedent.
