Zayed Rehman·April 23, 2015

Some May To June Bound Apple Watch Orders Are ‘Preparing For Shipment’

Ben Reid·April 23, 2015
As is often the case with new Apple products, there was a manic rush for pre-orders of the Apple Watch when it was first made available to reserve back on April 10th. Historically, those who manage to get in early get their devices before those lagging behind, and within hours of the pre-orders beginning, many customers were reporting estimated shipping dates of 4-6 weeks. Some were even told that June would be a ballpark ETA for a product that hits the mass market on April 24th, but much to the surprise of some, the status of some of these orders has changed to "Preparing for Shipment" - a very pleasant surprise for those who may have prepared for a long wait.

Facebook Launches ‘Hello’, A Replacement Dialer For Android [Download Link]

Ben Reid·April 23, 2015
A few years ago, before the big IPO, Mark Zuckerberg and Facebook were continually - and correctly - lambasted for their decidedly below-par mobile efforts. For a company that had a following then well into the hundreds of millions - now in the billions, of course - Facebook on iOS and Android were a major let down, but in recent times, things have dramatically improved. Facebook has, at times, partaken in the sport of throwing ideas against the wall and seeing what sticks - with varying degrees of success - and now, has launched an all-new dialer app for Android called Hello.

Galaxy S6 Root Will Render Samsung Pay Useless

Zayed Rehman·April 22, 2015
Rooting an Android device is known for opening a world of new features rather than cutting back on existing ones. And in the case of the new Galaxy S6 and S6 Edge, rooting the device breaks Samsung Pay.

Apple Watch Sport Ion-X Glass Display Scratch Test [Video]

Oliver Haslam·April 22, 2015
If it seems like you can't open a webpage these days without it being full of Apple Watch news then, well, you're probably just going to have to come to terms with that for the next few days at least. Apple's first wearable goes on sale this coming Friday, and it's causing quite the stir. With three models to choose from it's not always easy to make that particular buying decision, and if you are concerned about the durability of your smartwatch then things are particularly complicated because the cheaper Apple Watch Sport comes with a different screen to the Apple Watch and Apple Watch Edition.

This Accessory Transforms Apple TV, Fire TV, Roku Remote Control Into An All-In-One [Video]

Ben Reid·April 22, 2015
If you've read any of my articles pertaining to Apple TV, you'll know what I think of its remote. It's a prime example of when minimalism is taken too far, and for a company that focuses so much on the user experience, pretty poor form from Apple. But it's not the only set-top remote lacking in buttons, and even though some alternatives are better-designed, they're all considered clutter since none of them can control a TV set as well.

This iOS 9 Concept Shows A Revamped Lock Screen With ‘Quick Access’ [Video]

Zayed Rehman·April 22, 2015
We've seen plenty of iOS 9 concepts surface in the past few months from fans and designers alike, with some of them being pretty ambitious. This new concept however, does not tinker much with the existing building blocks of iOS 8, and instead, is looking to add a new Quick Access feature on the lock screen.
