This Game Controller Looks Like Nintendo NES Gamepad, Works With iPhone, Android For Gaming

Paul Morris·May 14, 2016
8Bitdo's NES30 is not going to win any prizes or any fans based purely on its name, but let's be honest, no-one is really going to care about what this thing is called. It is however likely to garner a lot of attention and immediate love from hardcore old-school gamers who absolutely loved the look and feel of Nintendo's NES gaming controllers from back in the day. This particular gadget may have been built with the modern world and mobile gaming in mind, but it stays true to the original design by offering that "same NES touch, same NES feeling".

You Can Now Track Your UPS Deliveries In Real-Time On A Live Map

Paul Morris·May 13, 2016
When you take into consideration the huge rise in technology over the last decade, and the barriers that the technological boom has broken down, you could be forgiven for thinking that courier companies would have long been at the cutting-edge of what's capable through the use of advanced tracking systems. Unfortunately, that isn't always the case, meaning that more often than not consumers are left experiencing anger and frustration while they wonder where their parcel or delivery is, and when it will actually turn up. UPS is looking to be one of the first big players to truly solve that problem with the rollout of its new tracking service.

Apple HomeKit To Get Smarter, Could Land In Cars, New Patent Filing Reveals

Paul Morris·May 13, 2016
It's hard to believe that it's been almost two years since Apple introduced HomeKit at the 2014 Worldwide Developer Conference (WWDC) in San Francisco. The HomeKit protocols were originally revealed and exposed to developers and manufacturers as a way of addressing some of the problems that existed within the Home Automation market at that time, namely price of hardware and the complexities involved in getting started. Over the last two years, Apple has filed a number of patents to improve and push HomeKit forward, including this recently discovered filing that outlines how "automated behaviors in an environment can be implemented based on aggregation of individual user routines."

Google To Take On Amazon Echo With ‘Chirp’ [Report]

Paul Morris·May 13, 2016
It probably won't come as any great surprise to learn that Alphabet-owned Google is continuously working on internal projects of both the hardware and software variety. Like most companies of this size that invest heavily in research and development, a lot of those products and ideas won't ever make it to market or come to fruition, whereas others are given the green light to make it onto our physical and digital shelves. A resurfaced rumor has once again ignited the conversation around internal Google plans to go to market with a product named internally as 'Chirp', designed and engineered to rival the Alexa-powered Amazon Echo, Echo Dot, and Tap.
