New Renders Of AirPods 3 Appear Online

New images of what appear to be the new third-generation AirPods have appeared online, complete with the newly redesigned charging case.

Picked up by Gizmochina, the images are renders that were apparently sourced from a supplier.

They look very much like the leaks we’ve already seen, with an overall design that is very similar to AirPods Pro in a number of ways. First, they have a charging case that is similar to that of AirPods Pro, while the stems that house the battery and such are shorter than the previous AirPods models.

Despite looking similar to AirPods Pro, the new AirPods will be less costly and won’t feature things like active noise canceling technology. We’d expect pricing to be around the $150 mark, although we will have to wait for an announcement to know for sure.

While we don’t know for sure when these new AirPods will be announced, the recent flurry of leaks suggests that it might not be all that far away. Apple is now thought to have an event planned for March 23, suggesting that we could see the new AirPods debut before the end of the month.

That Apple event is also thought to be the one where we finally see AirTags arrive, while new members of the iPad family wouldn’t be a surprise to anyone, either.
