We’re big fans of robotic vacuum cleaners here, and while we were hugely impressed with one we reviewed recently, it’s fair to say that the iRobot Roomba is the most iconic of all. Arguably the first out the blocks with a vacuum that could control itself, iRobot’s Roomba has become synonymous with the automated cleaning market and we have a great deal on one for you today.

The Roomba we’re talking of is the iRobot Roomba 850, a mid-range Roomba with some features we think you are going to love including the ability to control the entire robot from a handy dandy remote control.

A couple of the main concerns about a robotic vacuum like this have been negated by the Roomba 850. Starting off, we have wall detection which should prevent the little robot from slamming into walls, doors and furniture around your home. There’s also advantage detection technologies under the hood which will help prevent something else that may be a concern – the Roomba falling off a cliff or more likely, falling downstairs.

According to the listing on Amazon, this robot vacuum has quite a bit of tricks under its sleeve. For example, it can clean any sort of surface whether its a flat one, wood or even a carpet as it can adjust the cleaning heads on the fly. This means that you don’t have to flip this thing over just to accommodate a different type of surface. Furthermore, it has tons of sensors built right in so that it does not bump into your furniture and potentially damage stuff around or itself. If that doesn’t convince you at all, then you will be pleased to learn that this vacuum is ideal for homes that have pets in them so you don’t have to worry about hair lying around on your carpet or floor.

There has never been a better time to join the robotic vacuum revolution with this iRobot Roomba 850, normally priced at $440, now available or just $289.99. What are you waiting for?
