iPhone X Features An Exclusive New Default Ringtone, You Can Listen To It Here

Not too many years ago – although enough to make us feel old – one of the best things about getting a new phone was checking out what new ringtones it had built in.

Over the years the use of ringtones seems to have become less exciting, and seeing as people can create their own easily enough, the inclusion of fancy new ones on phones has failed to capture the imagination.

That isn’t stopping Apple from adding a brand new ring tone to the iPhone X though, and it’s exclusive to the device. At least for now. Called Reflection, the new tone is also the new default tone on the iPhone X according to people who have got the units early, including Forbes’ David Phelan.

It’s called Reflection and it sounds great. Because it’s new, I missed two or three calls before I realized I’d been listening to my own phone ring. I mention this because it’s the default ringtone and so you might miss it, too.

Developer Guilherme Rambo has shared the audio for Reflection on Twitter so that all of us can listen to it before iPhone X actually ships this Friday on November 3rd.

If you hear Reflection in the wild, then you might be around someone with an early access to one of iPhone X units, but as of Friday, that all changes when the iPhone X goes on sale for everyone. Pre-orders have already shipped, with those awaiting deliveries already glued to tracking apps to see just where in the world their new smartphones are. Sometimes, we wonder whether waiting for a new iPhone to arrive is almost as much fun as receiving it!
